"Aye Artisan" Eli Todd Smith II is no stranger to music. Growing up in the church, in Charlotte NC, he was apart of the children's choir all the way into the Young Adult fellowship choir. In the 5th grade, he became a hip hop enthusiast., letting the words of Drake lead him into a new found love for music. His junior year in High school is when he began to start writing and making his own music, calling himself AYE Artisan. He then, with the help of his close friends Benny and Abe soon turned his bedroom into a studio calling it the "Pink Room", leaving it to be a place of inspiration, and freedom through artistry. After relocating to New York after his 18th birthday in October, that following Winter of January 2017 was when he took his music to the next level. That following year (2018) he discovered who he was through late night sessions in Brooklyn, Queens and Whitestone, birthing what would be soon known as the sound of AYE Artisan
