Biography

Austin, Texas' Ariel Abshire's music has evolved from indie singer-songwriter to an edgier, modern pop sound. Her voice has drawn comparisons to artists like Mazzy Star, Lana Del Rey, and Stevie Nicks. Ariel's albums have received critical acclaim from such A-list sources such as The Boston Globe, The Austin Chronicle, and Some Velvet Blog. Her voice has been featured on major motion picture soundtracks, and also as a guest singer on Matt Pond PA's EP "Spring Fools." Ariel is currently finishing recording her fourth full-length album with producer McKenzie Smith (St. Vincent, Kaela Sinclair, Midlake). She is the Queen of the Boy's Club.
