Rods Rodrigues and Gabriel Alterio started playing together in 2009. A few years later, under the name of Dalai, they released two Brazilian pop rock albums. - Dalai & Nibiru 
 As City DC, the musicians are influenced by pop music synthesizers, Mark Guiliana’s beat music passing by Philip Glass’s minimalism and Radiohead’s art rock. 
 Their first album, The Unbelievable, engineered by Latin Grammy Nominated Thiago Baggio, was recorded almost live and brings the power of rock with no guitar’s strings. 
On their second album, Fly, the duo brought more complex arrangements, a record that confirms their references and style.
