Gus Benson is a 22 year old songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Charlotte, NC. Gus started playing the guitar at age 7 and has since picked up any instrument he could get his hands on. He started writing songs in high school after attending a summer program at Berklee College of Music, where he met a vast array of like-minded individuals and became inspired to create his own music. Gus gets musical inspiration from artists including John Mayer, Phoebe Bridgers, The Strokes, Norah Jones, Elton John, and his songwriting friends. Maybe you'll hear the inspiration in his music. Maybe you won't. Gus lives by the maxim, "variety is the spice of life", and his musical style reflects the fervor with which he adheres to it. Gus currently resides in Providence, RI, where he goes to school. You can find him around town playing with his band, surfing, climbing, or causing trouble. He hopes you enjoy his tunes.
