DJ Tron started his musical career with mixing Italo Disco and Acid House records. But bands like the Beastie Boys and Public Enemy paved his way to Rap music and to Hip Hop beats. In 1991, he formed the band P-27, with which he released the track "Murder By Dialect" (feat. Black Tiger). This is still considered the first rap song in swiss-german dialect released on record. With the project Chapter12 around saxophonist Andy Scherrer, DJ Tron was able to express his love for jazz. Also the beat production for the song "Deshalb bin ich hier" by Thomas D. (Die Fantastischen 4) was an enriching experience. For many years, the Basel producer has focused on the production of rap instrumentals, remixes and soundtracks for advertising and film. Since the beginning, funk and jazz music has been the basis of his beats. In 2017 he co/founded the label "Burning Sole Records" on which he released several singles and LP's. The last singles "The LH Bodyrock/Bombshell", "Love,Peace & Unity/Soul In Ya Mind (feat. Luana)" and „Mexico“ made it to the top ten of the UK Juno Records 7" charts. His first solo LP "Fruits Of Funk" made it into the UK Juno Records Charts too, as well as in the hhv.de bestseller list. DJ Tron works almost exclusively with processed samples from funk, soul, jazz and blues records and on his productions he is responsible for the entire music, mix and cover layout.
