North Carolina raised, now Brooklyn residing, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Stefan Kallander (aka DELAFUNK) creates for the spirit. A lifelong love of Soul, Funk, Jazz, and years playing gospel guitar in Baptist churches formed not only his sound, but also cemented the ideology that every note played and every song written is a moment to touch the soul. Whether it’s deep funkin’ with artists such as George Clinton, Grammy winner Kendra Foster, Quentin Talley & the Soul Providers, or modern jazzfunk legends cosmic collective, providing everything from slide guitar to hip hop production for Satsang, lending atmospheric guitar tones to KATZROAR, or contributing to more pop and soul recordings by artists like Natalie Carr, Pepper Solana, and Curt Keyz, Stefan has had the privilege of writing, recording, and/or performing with an array of amazing artists. His ability to cross many genres and collaborate with a plethora of musical savants has in turn shaped his own sound day by day, sculpting an aural landscape that reminisces on familiarity, yet is entirely unique in its definition.
