Steve James is a singer and songwriter originally from Indianapolis, IN who now resides in LA after making a decision to relocate due to his determination to pursue his musical dreams. Steve's intentions with music derive from the love he found within melodies and lyrics since he was 7 years old listening to Michael Jackson, Al Green, Prince and Luther Vandross just to name a few. Being enamored with the catalogs of these legendary artists, Steve has found rewards in following his dream, those being TV placements for commercials, co writing and background vocals for Grammy nominated artist Ro James' debut album ELDORADO song titled"Everything", placement with R&B artist J. Brown co-writing on the single titled "Moon" landing them on the #21 spot R&B Billboard charts. Steve continues to create in the studio as musical influences like Nipsey Hussle, PJ Morton, Jamie Foxx, and H.E.R remain on the list as fuel and inspiration, his plan is to remain in this marathon and work with other major artists with likes of DVSN, Ari Lennox, Snoh Alegra, & Ty Dolla $ign.
