As the Hands of time continuously rotate, so do the wheels of the vintage white Republik bike of Forevercal. Born into the Golden Triangle heat, this Beaumont native transformed the energy from his environment into fire poetry that later was articulated into hip-hop albums like “Pack Light” in 2018 and “Feels Like Home” in 2015. Like UGK, this underground king’s likeness adds timeless drip to the music of all genres. Forever Cal’s executive poise has oftentimes been related to one of history’s greatest rappers, Jay-Z.- In his music, you will often hear the rapper speak of adversities, mental health, and the responsibilities of being a #blackman in America. In his latest VEVO video, “Mental Health,” the story unfolds in the middle of nowhere, as a young boy evolves into present-day Cal. Ironically, through the struggle, he kept his crown on and used his words as weapons. Recently featured on SoFar Sounds DFW, ForeverCal set the record of most views and impressions proving the title of his 2020 album “WeWereOnceStrangers” to identify the beauty in strangers becoming the biggest supporters on this “Ride.” The golden triangle rapper has branded “RIDE” because he feels best when he is in motion. “It’s a reminder to keep moving forward in life,” he says. That alone has inspired children as young as 2 years old to use positive outlets to express themselves.
