LaTonya (La’) Scott formerly known professionally as LaTonya Wilder, is an American Gospel singer and songwriter born in Chicago, Illinois and raised on the southeast side near Lake Michigan. La’ started her career at the age of five and developed a love for music watching her dad who played guitar for the legendary Chi-Lites. Some of her early musical influences include Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, and Michael Jackson, to name a few. After taking songwriting lessons from Mark Luckey La’ began writing songs in 2001 and later learned to play began the acoustic guitar in 2009. She has written songs for numerous artist including Immeasurable Gospel Group, Calvin Manley, and Paul Askew to name a few. La’ has also recorded several albums working with music producers Dave Hall, Alex and Troy Weatherburn , Nick McCree, and Terrence Greene. After taking some time off from music La’ is ready to resurface with a fresh new sound merging her inspirational aspirations with her smooth and edgy approach to give her fans new encouragement and music that heals and empowers.
