Anime inspired lo-fi boombap is the signature of the artist Ricko James. Describing his music as a story glued primarily from spoken word and stark surreal illustrations. His well-known „Samurai Saga“ has already reached over 7 million combined views on various streaming sites. In the past 4 years, he has been experimenting with House and Ukg music too. However it is time for a change of style. Back in 2016, when I've embarked on this music journey, I was a completely different person and listened to way different genres. In 2018 I started djing at local parties. This promtly shifted to playing at local bars/cafés and ended with playing at festivals. Logically my preference in music changed aswell. Therefore in 2022 and 2023, I will be releasing mostly Non-Hiphop tracks. But my love for analog lofi stuff will never die ! Love you all, Ricko james
