REIGN. is a twenty-two year old musician based out of Los Angeles, California. Although her musical roots stem from singing, Reign began writing rap songs in 2018, which she would release under the artist name "Helena." In 2021, songs from her debut EP, Do it To 'Em, were placed in shows on multiple networks including: Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, BET, HBO Max, Roku, The CW, and MTV. The titular track, “Do it To 'Em,” was used in Rihanna's Savage x Fenty Vol. 3 Trailer, released via Amazon Prime Video. Within the same year, seeking to reclaim ownership over her life, her goals, and her musical journey, Helena transformed into “Reign,” the artist she is today. To her, this transformation signified the conquering of her fears and negative past experiences, which had previously prohibited her from becoming the person that she wanted to become both on and off stage. As an artist, Reign constructs lyrics that are incredibly personal in hopes of relating to others on a deeper emotional level. Reign's vocal talent has led her to create an eclectic mix of music, ranging from hip-hop/rap, alternative, and pop, while infusing cinematic touches and melodic tones. Basically, Reign's genres swing as much as her moods do. As Reign continues to grow and develop her sound as an artist, she has picked up various other talents along her journey thus far, such as learning how to produce and engineer, with the ability to tackle multiple genres within her production and songwriting.
