Klein Fortuin is well known for his comedic style of Afrikaans rap and super-energetic live performances. Since performing and releasing music independently for years, Klein Fortuin is becoming a force to be reckoned with all over Cape Town. He draws his inspiration from his day to day experiences and the circumstances of the people in his neighbourhood. With the songs he has been releasing he smartly integrates his daily life in Mitchell’s Plain. Klein Fortuin prides himself in being a multifaceted artist and a formidable performer, his style varies from conscious Hip hop, Hard Core battle rap, Comedic light-hearted songs as well as head-bobbing Club Bangers, in both Afrikaans and English. Besides being very passionate about the art of emceeing, Steven also hosts an annual Park Jam in his local community: Tafelsig, Mitchell’s Plain. Part of the Park Jam functions as a soup kitchen and community outreach program backed by free entertainment for the people. He has recently joined the Heal The Hood team in January 2018 – August 2018, where he was trained and fulfilling the role of a Youth workshop facilitator and also wrote a track for all 14 school which they worked with. He is also the winner of first solo rap competition Rock the Mic which allowed him to perform at the International Trinity Festival in USA
