HUGO is a British producer and DJ pioneering a vivid, contemporary take on classic dance music. Hailing from Manchester, HUGO fuses the intensity of modern dance with the euphoria of old-school rave, making feel-good, synth-driven records that are soundtracking hands-in-the-air moments at clubs, festivals and dancefloors across the globe.  HUGO's early releases across Stress Records, Street Tracks and Another Rhythm caught the ear of house star Patrick Topping, who signed the producer to his label Trick for the pumping three-tracker ‘Set It Off’ in 2021, which caught the eye of BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong. A year later, HUGO’s talent made waves across the Atlantic, with legendary house institution Nervous Records releasing the producer’s biggest tracks to date: the roof-raising ‘XTC’ and ‘Love Tape’. The breakout summer anthem, ‘XTC’ earned numerous plaudits from Annie Mac and ‘Love Tape’ closely followed and was selected as BBC Radio 1 DJ Sarah Story’s Track ID, with HUGO being interviewed on the station during peak time. While it might sound like he’s on a hot streak, HUGO is just getting started. His debut album, NON STOP EUPHORIA, is scheduled for release at the end of July on Nervous Records, distilling his ecstatic sound into a scene-stealing full-length project that features collaborations with several legendary vocalists, including house icon Sandy B and vocalist of the moment Tasty Lopez, who appears on lead single ‘CHANGING’. HUGO is one to watch this year.
