The Beginning

Biography

Jahmod Murphy, known as J. Murphy is a 16-year-old student-athlete from St. Louis, Missouri. J. Murphy lost his father (Jarvis Murphy) at a very young age and vowed to carry his father's name into a legacy he would be proud of. J. Murphy has worked consistently as a student and an athlete and excels at both. J. Murphy makes it clear that he is a student first and foremost; while pursuing his passions for football, basketball, and music. J. Murphy is a was star athlete with North County Falcons Athlete Association, and now plans to take on the music scene with the same passion and desire. J. Murphy is also part of the BWN Missouri/Illinois Chapter Prospects Kidpreneurs Program where we will learn about the business side of music behind the scenes. J. Murphy has been surrounded by the music making process through his step father, and their professional in-home studio. J. Murphy has witnessed his step father (Shurmond Conklin aka Big Lou) get international attention with his latest single Clock Work. J. Murphy has been singing for half of his life, but did not decide to take on the world of music until he won a talent contest at his family reunion in which his cousin, national record producer (Rodrick Finch aka Rajo) pursaded him to participate in. That talent contest gave J. Murphy the boost to break out of his shell, and to share his love for music. J. Murphy plans to fill the airwaves with hip grooves, smooth sounds, and a positive message that leaves you wanting more.
