Andrea Van Cleef is well known in the European Stoner Rock scene as the former songwriter, singer and guitar player for Humulus and VanCleefContinental, and as a bassplayer for Vic Du Monte. His first solo record is 2012’s SUNDOG (GMP/Audioglobe). It earns rave reviews from the specialized press, comparing the record to the work of renowned songwriters such as David Crosby, John Martyn and Eddie Vedder. A 60 shows-tour around Italy, Germany and Switzerland follows. In 2018 (after two records and two EPs with Humulus and Van Cleef Continental, a side project) a new deal with Rivertale Productions is signed and the sophomore solo album is out: TROPIC OF NOWHERE, with genres ranging from psychedelia to hard rock and folk rock, recorded with the contribution of amazing musicians from the Austin, Texas scene. A 78 shows- tour around Europe follows. February 2020: a new EP, 135, is out! Three new originals penned by AVC, and three cover versions of Dr. John, Bo Diddley and Pink Floyd songs with a style ranging from stoner blues to psychedelia, with a contamination from afrobeat rhythms. SAFARI STATION, a cinematic trip across Africa and the psychedelic western world, is the new album, recorded with Diego Potron and Don Antonio Gramentieri. The new album, HORSE LATITUDES, recorded in Austin, TX and in North Italy, is the ultimate version of Andrea's songwriting, a dark americana roots trip that is built to last
