OSCAT! is a an electronic dub/reggae producer and selector from London, UK with British & Mixed Scandinavian roots. For over 10 years, OSCAT! has produced and constructed different variations of reggae/dub, roots and steppas with a large variety of artists, notably with the band Distant Karma who make a merge of Psychadelic Rock, Soul/Blues and Roots Reggae. OSCAT! is also a part of the Channel One soundsystem family and held weekly/monthly radio residencies with both Brixton Radio and Roots Yard Radio, as well as running his own independant record label ‘Nordic Roots’ OSCAT! has been actively working with producing dubplates for soundsystems and recording with several artists around the world in 2023, working towards a new deeper and spiritual element of production. The 2023 single No Surprise featuring debut vocals from artist Rebekah released on the 17th November set the tone in highlighting OSCAT!’s signature soundsystem style production. The first 2024 single release Jhoom featuring Sukanya continued the journey with South Asian influences. Bridging the gap between music cultures, being inspired by life, and travelling the world in search of expanding knowledge and wisdom. Also selling out on limited dubplate vinyl release within a few days partnered by No Surprise and exclusive dub versions. OSCAT! then celebrated his birthday launching his first ever EP release Nordic Roots - Chapter I: Eldsjäl , the first chapter of dubplates played frequently in live DJ sets.
