Ikal Records was founded in 2021 to provide talented artists from the contemporary Tulum creative ecosystem with a platform to share and promote their music, providing outsiders a window into this exciting world. At its inception, it was the musical relationships generated at the Restaura festival at Ikal Hotel in Tulum, Mexico that gave Ikal Records confidence that something of this special spirit could be translated into a recording context. Ikal records aspires to become an eclectic creative hub and through equitable relationships with their artists, to continue bringing together musicians who share an empathy with music as a healing modality.
