Meet the world’s most famous DJ you’ve never heard of. Defined by his luscious brown locks, free flowing spirit, impressively curated wardrobe and impeccable music selection; the sparkly, energetic persona is a quintessential representation of why a Bender performance is never forgotten. Born in New York City, Bender’s career began as a resident DJ for Pacha NY, performing alongside some of the world’s biggest artists. By 2016, his catalog of remixes had garnered him millions of stream’s world-wide, resulting in his festival debut at the 2016 edition of Tomorrowland. Following his debut, he continued touring in both North America & Europe, earning praise from DJ Mag in 2018 as one of their new artists ‘bubbling to the top’. But it was that summer that completely changed his life. In late august, Bender would take over the decks for Carl Cox at his legendary Burning Man Purple Party. Flash forward three Burns later, and he’s been invited back every year to uphold the same tradition. Since then Bender’s name has spread faster than the flames that engulf The Man. In August of 2022, Dancing Astronaut coined him the “intergalactic, funkadelic, missionary sent from Carl Cox’s Purple Party”. While 2023 has yet to be defined, what is certain is Bender’s infectious energy will continue to reach world wide audiences. With slotted releases on his label, Marvelous Accidents, as well as major gigs booked around the world, 2023 is shaping up to be another beautiful journey for Bender.
