Born in 1981 amid the Iran-Iraq war, bilingual singer Mina Deris discovered her exceptional talent early on. Influenced by Umm Kulthum, she fused Arab and Iranian classical music under Masters Hengameh Akhavan and Farhang Sharif. A graduate of the Music Conservatory of Tehran in 2014, Mina became a sought-after vocalist globally, performing in countries like Qatar, Turkey, Italy, Germany, France, Kurdistan, Iraq, and the United States. Leading the Novak Ensemble since 2016, she released notable tracks like "Agitation" and "Bidel." In 2023, Mina joined the Voices Unveiled band, transcending cultural boundaries.
