Kimaru is an Alternative Hip-Hop artist from Riverside, California. From a young age, he experienced unsettling childhood trauma with the passing of his Father which led him to start writing music. Music was the only way to escape what he was facing at home so he worked endlessly, creating witty and quirky punchlines, allowing his heart to be felt through his bars, and poof! Kimaru was born. Kimaru displays a wide-variety of emotions in his songs, containing lyrics referencing deep heartache on songs like “doomsday.” On songs such as the 2023 release “particles” capture high-tempo heart wrenching raps about loving a girl to the ends of the Earth. Other tracks like “Top Hat” were written with the intention of being motivational, by showcasing his past as a doorway to his future, the vocals create a New-Age rapping atmosphere that may be labeled experimental, while at the same type staying true to his West Coast Hip-Hop roots.
