Meladie is a Puerto Rican & Dominican singer and song writer from the Bronx, New York. Growing up in the Bronx, Meladie has always been surrounded by creativity and the music culture. Since the age of 3, Meladie knew her passion was singing as her parents played various music genres, such as Salsa, Bachata, Motown, Freestyle and R&B. As she grew older, Meladie discovered her passion for performing as she competed in multiple talent shows, modeling competitions and acting classes. Meladie started writing her own songs in the 5th grade. She then went on to Cathedral High School and continued to sing for fun. After graduating the University at Albany, SUNY, Meladie decided to pursue her music career professionally. From 2018-2020, Meladie has developed into an independent artist that concentrates in Pop and R&B music. In February 2019, Meladie released her first single, “I’ll Be There.” She followed up that summer with her second single, “Can’t Get Enough.” Her latest single, “Only One” was released in June 2020.
