Martin B. Janssen & ZAË Songtrack makers Martin B. Janssen and Laure Zaehringer met in 2011 during their music studies at prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston (MA). After growing their craft and passion while pursuing their personal projects, they eventually decided, but only 10 years later, to combine their musical forces and start a new artistic project, where their passion for cinema both could meet. The creation of “cinematic” songs came to life with the melting pot of their influences and universes they wanted to develop. The aim was to create song-tracks that would mark generations, the same way some scores and songs in films marked theirs. Built around situational oriented main themes like - loneliness in deep space, a passionate romantic chase between dusk and dawn surrounded by the iconic Parisian chimneys, or the honorable road back to the roots in a shamanistic trip, a vortex of introspection into the library filled with the folders of your life, and a journey following the Oracle’s prophecy throughout the 5 elements - the songs adapt perfectly to film / tv shows, trailers and video games as much as they would for advertisement. The musical structures where thought out for editors so that they could use it to the full extend or adapt the tracks to their projects like a puzzle and even edit some parts, without loosing any emotional intensity.
