I am an award-winning European jazz vocalist and lyricist currently based in London. I have just released my 8th album 'Quiet Is The Star' co-written with double Grammy-winning pianist and composer Alan Broadbent. This is the follow up to our 2017 'Songbook' which received international acclaim, led to a headline slot at world-renowned jazz club Ronnie Scott's and several dates in New York (Dizzys Club, Jazz at Lincoln Center) and across Europe and the US. Alongside the album, we have published a book of our 33 co-written originals called 'The Songs Of Alan Broadbent and Georgia Mancio.' My lyrics are drawn from personal and universal experiences, sharing stories and characters that are heartfelt and truthful. In 2019 I released 'Finding Home' with another great pianist/composer/arranger, Kate Williams, with themes ranging from friendship, love and loss to the natural world and current refugee crisis, .The album featured the Guastalla string Quartet and classical guitarist John Williams and won Best Album at the 2020 UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards. From 2010-2014 I produced an international voice festival called 'ReVoice!' which featured artists including Gregory Porter, Carleen Anderson, Beady Belle, Becca Stevens, Raul Midon and Carmen Souza. I have also sung at the 2019 BBC Proms, worked with Bobby Mcferrin, Ian Shaw, Liane Carroll, Gwilym Simcock, Darius Brubeck and Robert Mitchell. and had my lyrics approved by guitarist Pat Metheny.
