GridLockOnTheBeat is an artist from Sacramento, California that has been involved in music for almost 2 decades. Starting in 2005, GridLock started making beats on FL Studio with his local friend Daniel Cruz (Mozzy, JayRock). Going by Syanied at the time, GridLock began sharpening his beatmaking skills and music production knowledge. In 2014, GridLock graduated with a commercial recording degree and began writing his own songs to showcase his own talents. In 2018 GridLock released his State of Mind (Expanded Edition) ushering in a new era for his musical endeavors. Shortly after, GridLock followed up with his Personal Conduct (Deluxe Edition) album showcasing both his growth in lyrical ability and beatmaking. In 2024, GridLock partnered on Wyshmaster Beats to create the Wysh Upon a Star EP which marks the first time GridLock used beats made by another artist. GridLock is now focusing on his third album along with another EP involving Wyshmaster Beats to be released in late 2024z
