Mola Oddity is a creative project centered around Birdy K, Yider, and Asr. They liken themselves to deep-sea creatures (Mola), possessing unique traits (Oddity) and the absorbent capability to digest a variety of influences, transforming the world's absurdities into peculiar tales. Inspired by The Books' musical aesthetics, Birdy K attempts to deconstruct and reconstruct materials, building her own world. Yider and Asr, rooted in Mongolian folk music, explore its fusion with West African and jazz influences. This organic blend of influences results in a collage-like, rhythmic album, maintaining an intriguing relationship with established musical genres.
