Sub Foundation is a bass music producer from Leicester (UK). He started releasing records during the emergence of UK dubstep in the mid 2000’s, on Full Melt and Cymbalism recordings. Putting out split releases with the likes of Om Unit and Excision (under the alias Pure Phase). After a brief hiatus from dubstep, Sub Foundation returned with ‘rational anthem’ and full length ‘UK Dub’ album ‘The Shape of Dub’ which gained support and plenty of rewinds in sessions by Jah Tubbys, mungos hifi, Iration steppas and Dubmatix. Sub Foundation continues to be best known for his vivid and brutal sound design that is often steeped in roots dub.
