Born Setumane Thekgo Mangena, ST was raised in “Mokgolobotho” a village right outside “Tzaneen”. He grew up listening to artists like Drake, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, J Cole, Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest and K.O. He would often listen to music with his childhood friend Kenny and the duo would sing along to the songs which often had explicit lyrics. It was around January 2020 when ST decided to write his first song without having any idea of where he was going to record it or even where he was going to release it. In the process of writing his first song Covid-19 took South Africa by storm and formed the whole country into a nationwide lockdown which made it impossible for him to leave the house and go to record. Later that year around September when the lockdown was over ST turned to one of his childhood friends who was an artist with a few songs out. ST turned to him for help as he wanted to release his first song and his friend “Stimroll” was more than help to help as he paid for his first studio session. The Song came out later that month titled “Chasing the bag” on SoundCloud and was an instant success. In 2021 ST’s sisters bought him his own recording equipment and that helped him record his first Mixtape title “My LiFe” which was released in 2022. “My LiFe wouldn’t have been possible with my sisters and help from Seth”. “I am the best Hip-hop artist is Mokgolobotho but I try to stay humble because I know that anyone can take my spot, like KidLtee”.
