The band met each other while studying in UP and immediately bonded over similar tastes in music (and food). After a lot of geeking out over their influences and musical heroes, they decided to work together on material that didn't quite fit the other bands that they were playing for at the time. After a year of writing songs and figuring out how to play them live, Stomachine played their first show in 2009.
