Australia's queer indie pop prince Brendan Maclean was thrust onto the international scene with the anthem break-up single Stupid. Brendan followed this up with a dizzying display of talent on his debut record funbang1. Written while living between LA and New York, it celebrated synth-drenched gay pop artistry with nods to The Pet Shop Boys, Robyn, Kylie Minogue and The Scissor Sisters. It was Brendan's first chart success and the music video House of Air has gone down in legend as one of the most iconic of the decade, as per Vulture (New York Magazine). 2021 saw him based in Brooklyn working with producer LEFTI which resulted in disco bops Easy Love and 4ever with 2022 seeing him feature on three tracks for LA and UK dance producers. Brendan's new record The Front is due out September which sees him collaborating with electronic music pinoeer Paul Mac on new music composed by Rowan Dix (Joyride, The Meeting Tree).
