Biography

Franco Ferrara (Palermo, 1911 - Florence, 1985) was an Italian composer, conductor and teacher. Among his many students are various conductors, including Roberto Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Andrew Davis and Riccardo Muti. He conducted orchestra for many soundtracks for noted composers such as Mario Nascimbene and Nino Rota.
