APT 301 is comprised of the Artist/Engineer/Producer Duo of Kenny&Marvin.A collective of artists that contribute to the journey of APT 301 are Cita,Lt.Mav &Smart.Alek. APT301 combines East Coast Jazz inspired elements with an grungy and edgy DMV twist. Although, you could never place them into a box just as the World is round. The team met in high school on the football field in the late 2000’s and have been building the sound ever since. Their influences include artists like the iconic southern group OutKast , The Legendary Super Producer/Artist Pharrell Williams, Kendrick, J.Cole and Dr. Dre amongst many others. As producers and musicians the goal is to challenge the conventional thought of music and create unheard soundscapes. As artists one of our many goals is to create a soundtrack for everyday life and give you vivid stories.
