ZZ started singing blues at age 8, driven by her father's record collection. By 16, she was a fixture in local Eugene clubs, merging blues and hip-hop. After hustling for gigs and selling demos, she got a record deal with a major label and rocketed to stardom, achieving a Top 40 Billboard hit with her debut.
