Brooklyn, New York, is home to many talented artists. Born in North Carolina and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn, Narsie has made a name for himself through his authentic music, As a child, he began writing lyrics and using music as a tool to express himself. Becoming a father as a teenager motivated him to strive for more and never give up on making a life for himself. Growing up, his father would play Reggae music, While his mom introduced him to R&B, his older brother was heavy into hip hop, which contributed to his development of a keen ear for good music and being a diverse artist. He is heavily influenced by his favorite emcees like Jay-2, Nas, Wu-tang, Kanye West, Andre 3000, and more. In 2014, Narsie released his first single, "Mary Jane," and followed up with the entire project in 2015, titled “Life Behind The Smile”. After his first release, he began to gain momentum and received positive feedback that encouraged him to continue to perfect his craft. His unique wordplay, soulful lyrics, and enticing flows grabbed the attention of his supporters in and outside of the country. His unique sound comes from his upbringing and music to share his story.
