Biography

Born Kendred T. Smith to 18year old gospel singer Starlett Attmore and a bass player Kernal Smith God had His plans on Jimi early. Not just in music but in life and it was evident being a Smith in the household of 5 children. Fast forward twenty years and Jimi Kendrix has amassed a discography and body of work and success over his short career and yet his humble demeanor says it all. “I never cared about politics! I cared more about the music”. Working with artists closely such as JAY Z , 50 Cent , Ashanti, Ja Rule, 2Pac, Patti LaBelle, R. Kelly, Shyne, Ruben Studdard, Wu-Tang Clan, Heavy D, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Lloyd, The Notorious B.I.G., Jadakiss, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, Remy Ma, Mobb Deep, AZ, The Diplomats, Mr. Cheeks, Lil Mama and the list goes on and on. He realized music could be a living and not just something he loved to do. His music being exposed through his hustle and perseverance would get the attention from a few people in the streets and music industry, one in particular record executive and Ceo of Murder Inc records / Def Jam Irv Gotti. The rest is history. Jimi signed an In house producer deal with Murder Inc records and has been responsible for quite a few big records which garnered multi platinum records sales and awards accredited to his work. “Every moment before prepared me for the moment and I connected it as soon as I signed and negotiated my own deal with Chris and Irv Gotti ”.
