RAS AKKURATE Born in Kingston, he grew up in Halse Hall and May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica. At the age of 19, his passion for music grew after seeing many artists perform onstage. He was given his stage name Akkurate from a friend who said his flow and lyrics were so perfect and right they were “accurate”. He later added Ras. He recorded his first song “Ghetto Life” at the age of 20. Several years later, he became part of Ash Tracks Records family out of Clarendon, Jamaica. His music library is filled with many works that include recordings with Ash Tracks/DreSwade, Jamaica, Julie J-Kanz, Ghana, Africa, Ranks Productions, Sweden, and Izaboo Sound, Paris, France. He performed as a feature artist at Sting Jamaica, 2005. He was a contestant on Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall, 2008. Since that time, he has spent countless hours onstage performing at various events and venues. He has been frequently invited onstage for feature spot performances for artists such as Sizzla and Mavado. In 2017, Ras Akkurate began touring in many cities throughout the USA, such as Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, and Orlando, promoting his "Everlasting....Blasting" album.
