Malin Wättring is a musician and composer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She plays saxophone, guitar and she sings. She’s working within the field of modern jazz & improvised music, indierock and singer-songwriter. Malin is known and appreciated for her personal sound both as a musician and composer. Her musical expression is lyrical and melodic but also raw and powerful. She moves unhindered between different styles of music. “The ear and heart always wins over theory. I’m not interested in genres, I’m interested in creativity and to be in the present, experiencing, exploring and expressing whats there.“ Malin is the leader for several bands and projects, has composed commissioned works for big bands and orchestras, has released several records in her own name and has also collaborated with a number of well-known musicians and groups.
