A 20-year veteran of the NYC contemporary music scene and member of the influential ensemble Alarm Will Sound, composer/producer/percussionist Chris P. Thompson has worked with a diverse range of artists including Björk, Tyondai Braxton, Dirty Projectors, Philip Glass, James McVinnie, Medeski, Martin & Wood, and ACME: American Contemporary Music Ensemble. His music has been described as "like a futuristic blend of Aphex Twin, Roger Eno, and Erik Satie" (anEarful), "pitch-perfect" (WTTC Chicago), and "cascading torrents of notes trip ass over teakettle... some unholy meeting between Cecil Taylor and Conlon Nancarrow while John Cage hides stage-left" (Darren Bergstein, DMG). His 5th solo album, Stay the Same, was released April 4, 2024.
