SAFE HAVEN is the embodiment of a safe environment of mental and spiritual peace for our generation. The duo are friends Kal Ousseimi (LOVERBOY) and Byron Jesus, who in Boston met during their time in college. In the year 2017, the duo recorded their first project which gave birth to their current stage name « cheap medicine ». The idea behind cheap medicine revolves around the overflow of media and the adverse effect it has on our generation. After graduating the artists traveled to London, LA and Switzerland where they developed their sound. In 2018, the band recorded « Swiss Time Travel » a trance project reflecting their escape to Montreux, Switzerland. « Safe Haven » is the duos first studio production. Recorded in Los Angeles, California in January 2020. Working with the likes of Chicago’s platinum producer Plu2o Nash, Axel Omram and Hiko Momoji. Their engineer Erik, is also their BFF now. Presenting an alternative punk sound with trap elements.
