Kimi Stär (pronounced Kee-mee Star) is an Earth based electronic alt-pop duo consisting of indie house producer/vocalist ZOSIA and pop singer/songwriter and well-known mystic, Kaitlyn Kaerhart. After briefly meeting at a Los Angeles Samhain ceremony, the two found themselves both moving back to Brooklyn, New York around the same time. They decided to form a band, fusing together a unique blend of influences from their respective genres. Their ethereal sound evokes feelings of nostalgia, with Kaerhart’s soulful guitar and smoky voice, combining with ZOSIA’s wistful style of production and lush vocals. Kimi Stär’s debut single, “Wildfire,” hitting streaming platforms on June 3, 2022, is about overcoming painful moments in your life. With additional production from Jimmy Vallance of the band Bob Moses, the track explores elements of the light and darkness of our world, with dreamlike intertwining vocals, haunting hooks, and live instrumentals. This is the first single off their upcoming self-titled debut EP, set to release Fall of 2022.
