Music has always been part of Dave's life, but his first professional career was in the technology industry as a consultant and project manager. After almost a decade in systems consulting, he helped to open the Museum of Pop Culture (formerly known as "Experience Music Project" - a rock and roll museum) in Seattle. About five years after opening the museum, Dave made the jump into film composing and eventually started wearing other hats in the post-production audio realm - sound design, re-recording mixing, ADR recording, foley... Ever since he was in high school noodling around with his shiny new Juno 106, he's always dreamed of making a record: being the next Howard Jones, Thomas Dolby... During the 2021 holidays in December, Dave took stock of all the non-film music that he had in various places and discovered that there was quite a hell of a lot of it. In fact, there were more than enough tracks to make an album! So after shoving down the bouts of imposter syndrome, he committed to putting these tracks together and sending it out to the world in the form of the L3 Collective! He's produced and mixed all the tracks on the record and all but two of the tracks have Dave credited as songwriter (either by himself or in collaboration with some FANTASTIC songwriters).
