Philip Owolana, better known by his stage name Phil Mckeyz, is a music producer and song writer born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to Canada in 2021. Despite occasionally singing in the choir, Phil's true passion lies in producing music, as he loves the thrill of influencing what listeners hear. A lifelong lover of music, Phil began playing the keyboard at age 10, the guitar at age 13, and producing music at age 15. With a wide range of musical genres, Phil is heavily influenced by producers such as Diplo, Kygo, The Chainsmokers, Illenium, and Martin Garrix. In his own music, he aims to create a fusion of rich African sounds with electronic elements, with the goal of taking listeners to a happy place and making them feel the same sense of joy that he experiences when listening to amazing music.
