巡音ルカはピンクのロングヘアが特徴的な、20歳の女性バーチャル・シンガーです。 クリプトン・フューチャー・メディア株式会社が開発した、歌詞とメロディーを入力して誰でも歌を歌わせることができる「ソフトウェア」として、2009年1月30日に最初のソフトウェアが発売されました。 大勢のクリエイターが「巡音ルカ」を用いた作品を生み出したことで、「キャラクター」としても注目を集め、今ではバーチャル・シンガーとしてグッズ展開やライブを行うなど多方面で活躍するようになり、人気は世界に拡がっています。 Megurine Luka is the mascot for the software with the same name, represented by a 20 year old female with long pink hair. The virtual singer software was first released on January, 30th 2009 by Crypton Future Media. Shortly after the release of the software, fans and users started producing a massive amount of media featuring the character, and the popularity of these creations led to merchandise, live shows, and other projects.
