R.O is a project that Olivier Rugi started back in high school in his home country, Belgium . Especially obsessed by guitar during his teenage years, he quickly decide to expand his sound palette and started to produce his music on a computer to be able to create any sound and never stopped since then. Versatile, he doesnt confine himself to a single genre, however you can hear his style within all of them. He has been releasing all kind ofdance music but also more laidback/downtempo and personal songs throughout the years, as well as many remixes for artists all around the world. Very influenced by hiphop, he has been producing for various rappers and belgian singers and won two Redbull music awards for the best remixes ( 1st and 3rd place) for his Roméo Elvis and Damso remixes in 2017 in Brussels. He's been recording real sounds of objects and streets all around the world and you can often hear them, mixed with many digital and analog synthesizers and his very unique sound design Last year he had the incredible chance to be invited by one of his earliest electronic inspiration, the Belgian producer Netsky, to play in tomorrowland last year which was a unique experience for the Belgian. He also did the opening act for many of his heroes such as Madeon, Jacques, Pretty Lights and had some of his songs played by legends such as Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis, NGHTMRE, and many more For 2020, he's preparing some very strong solo releases so keep an ear out
