Chance Cox, better known under his musical alias Codyneedshelp is a 23 year old vocalist hailing from a small Texas town just outside of Houston. Chance describes his sound as being inspired by 2000’s Pop-Punk and Alternative bands like Panic! At the Disco, The Used, Mayday Parade, as well as early pioneers of soundcloud emo like Lil Peep, Lil Aaron, and Blackbear. 
 Chance used his art as a form of self expression and escapism while grappling with the sudden and unexpected loss of his mother when he was 19 years old. He then started writing music to capture the negative feelings and emotions that had overwhelmed him, and instead turn them into the art that helps him keep going. 
 In his own words, “I hope I can make music that people can listen to and relate to and it help them get through something they are dealing with. If my music can do that for just one person it makes all this worth it.”
