Biography
Damascus are a band from Jakarta, Indonesia. Their first album, Superblaster, was released under Anoa Records. Their music were heavily influenced by Swervedriver, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, and Catherine Wheel. Indonesia has always been big on shoegaze and dream pop, stretching back from mid-to-late 90s. Damascus was part of that scene, with their noisy distortion, swirling guitars, and memorable melodies.
