Mike Gauge is an up and coming rapper from Montreal’s south shore. He is a creative, skillful songwriter who fluidly transposes his life experiences onto a record.   
As an adolescent, he discovered a fondness for music of the likes of Three 6 Mafia, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony & Necro. During those years, he sang in multiple bands while attending high school. As his passion for Hip-Hop was growing, the transition between singing and rapping came naturally. In early 2012, he started working with Frankie 2Times, producer and founder of a local studio called ONLOCK Recordings. They worked alongside eachother to further develop his sound and style. As the year ended in 2014, he released his first mixtape “Between Two Worlds”, which featured dark, heavy & energetic party hooks along with gut-wrenching verses. In summer 2016, he released a second mixtape entitled “Underdog”, which featured productions by Carlito Beats & JVibz. This second mixtape was much shorter in length, leaving space for 9 in-your-face, hard-hitting tracks. Controversial lyrics and social gathering influenced themes fill up this mixtape without any barriers. More recently, he released a single called “In the Jungle”, produced by JVibz. This latest single showcases his motivation and dedication towards realizing his biggest dreams. In short, this song conveys a fresh blend of sentimental and entertaining lyricism over a laidback, bass heavy rhythmic beat. Mike Gauge has no problem painting a picture with his lyrics. His crafty wordplay and melodic flow ensures a soulful rhythm to his concrete jungle influenced music. He is currently working on a third full-length release, which will be called “Rive Saint-Laurent”. It is expected to be released in late 2017.
