A disciple of soul, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Matt.Lindsey blends genres such as Rock, Blues, R&B, Soul, and Folk. Growing up in the late 70's and 80's, Matt was exposed to the classic soul sounds of Muscle Shoals, Memphis, and Detroit. Isaac Hayes and Funkadelic records were his earliest prized possessions along with B. B. King and Muddy Waters albums given to him by his father. This is the source, according to Matt, of his affinity for funky grooves and a propensity for bluesy melodies.
