After four years of releasing music under the name "Kenji", Ewakiz, a young music producer of French-Malagasy origin, has decided to restart his musical journey under a completely new artist name. He initially began with releasing mainstream electronic genres like tropical house and deep house music. However, in search of his own signature sound, he has chosen to start from scratch by completely changing his artistic identity and drawing new inspirations from his roots. Today, Ewakiz draws inspiration from the sounds of his childhood homeland, Madagascar. While he continues to produce genres like chill house, he now incorporates elements of traditional Malagasy music, reggae, and Afrobeat styles that he has been immersed in since a young age. By blending these influences with his electronic music touch, he aims to create a distinct style of his own.
