Born in Gainesville, Florida Gainstaville has been a pawn of hip hop culture to what seems like a lifetime. His stepfather was a DJ and had his home blasting with hip hop classics before he could walk. One uncle a hole in the wall club owner another uncle a break dancer multiple cousins who either rap....sing or both you could say music is not just a focal point but also a driving force throughout his life. This passion grew as he moved to Tallahassee Florida to attend Florida State University where he could be frequently found at parties battle rapping or commanding a freestyle cypher. During this time Gainstaville met a soon to be brother from another mother in K.illa Cali and the two rappers would go on to create a rap duo by the name of S.B.E. They went on to produce many albums such as Smokin Blunts Effectively 1 & 2 along with Sharing Bedroom Energy and Capitol City Classics. S.B.E kept Tallahassee grooving to such hits as Whachulike, Drink til she's cute, and SouthWest just to name a few. Gainstaville then relocated to Arizona (Tucson) to truly connect with west coast culture and further his solo career. Gainstaville's style can be described as southern with direct influence from various hip hop, blues, R & B and even southern Gospel groups. Gainstaville is dedicated to creating music from the soul and influencing ascension through his music.
