Devo is a South African Hip-Hop producer/artist that grew up in Meadowlands, Soweto. He is originally a producer who has been making beats since he was 15. His love for Rap music began when he was six-years-old, his late older cousin used to play a lot of music from Eminem, Pitch Black Afro, Brickz and etc. His musical style is very cinematic, he believes that music is audio films and it should spark some sort of pictures in your imagination. One can also pick up some Kwaito influences in his sound, Kwaito is the sound of his childhood days when he was still playing on the dusty streets with his friends.
